Valley Covenant Preschool has provided fun, learning and socialization with a Christian emphasis for over 25 years.
The Preschool is open to all 3 to 5 year old children in the area. Maximum class size is 20 with a staff to student ratio of 1 to 10.

An email was sent to all currently enrolled students on July 19, 2010. If you did not receive this email, please contact us and let us know.

 Jill Huber Preschool Director & Teacher - Upstairs
|
Jill Huber has been Preschool Director of Valley Covenant Preschool since the fall of 1990. Jill is a native of Stillman Valley, she graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1979. She has a BA in Elementary Education from Illinois Wesleyan University, class of 1983. Before coming to Valley Covenant Preschool, Jill taught Kindergarten for 5 years. Jill is married to Bill and they have 5 children between them. Jill has a daughter who graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University, a son attending Augustana College, and a son attending Northern Illinois University. Jill has two stepchildren and 3 grandchildren. Jill is the secretary of the Meridian Youth Basketball League since it began in 1997, President of the Meridian Athletic Boosters and President of the Rockford area Illinois Wesleyan Alumni. |

 Sarah Craig Teacher Assistant Upstairs AM
|
Sarah Craig went to Genoa-Kingston High School and graduated in 1992. She has a BA in marketing from Northern Illinois University and took time off in 2004 to raise her children. She is married to Jeff and has 2 children, Aubrey and Jackson, both whom attended Valley Covenant Preschool. While volunteering her time at Valley Covenant Preschool she found a deep desire to work with children and began subbing in the Meridian School district and volunterring her time in kindergarten classes. She is also active in the community coaching girls T-ball and soccer. |

 Amy Turner Preschool Teacher Downstairs
|
Amy Turner joined Valley Covenant Preschool the fall of 2007 as a teacher. Amy is a native of Stillman Valley (graduated from SVHS in 1993) and has returned to the area in 2007-08. Amy has completed coursework for Early Childhood from various schools. She has been working with children since 1999 and says preschoolers are her favorite age. Amy is married to Dale and has three girls, Kennedy, Taylor and Haley. She enjoys scrapbooking, stamping, and spending time with her family. |

 Leslie Ilkow Teacher Assistant Downstairs
|
Leslie Ilkow went to Crystal Lake South High School and graduated in 1987. She has her Associates in general education and certificate in early childhood education from McHenry County College. (May 1990) In September of 1990, she helped her friend open Rocky Raccoon Preschool and Daycare. She was the assistant director and taught a tot class, 3 & 4 year old preschool along with teaching in the day care also. She worked there until May 1998 when she took time off to raise her children. She is married to Terry and has 4 children: Christopher 21, Katarina 11, Maria 9, and Hunter 6. They have lived in Davis Junction for 7 years and she enjoys helping coach soccer and basketball. She is a teacher of a religious education class at her church. She is very excited to be back teaching and spending time with your children! |
