APRIL-MAY

FUSION Student Ministries follows the calendar and cancellations from the Meridian School District.  Due to the Coronvirus Crisis in our state and country, FUSION Student Ministries will not have any formal ministry through the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, as Illinois schools will not be held.

Until further notice, Pastor Chuck will be meeting with students online for youth group, which includes online small groups, games, and connection times.  Please contact Pastor Chuck for more information.

FUSION (fyo͞oZHən);
the process of joining two or more things together

     Fusion Student Ministries is Valley Covenant Church’s Jr. and Sr. High ministry.  Led by Pastor Chuck and several dedicated leaders, Fusion exists to inspire Students to engage in a real and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ through creative, relational and exciting programming.

     Valley Covenant has had a ministry for students for many years now.  From “Recharge” to “Amplify” to “Impact” to “Fuse”, the ministry has had a variety of iterations and served many students in the Ogle County area through their Jr. and Sr. High years.  In July of 2014, VECC’s Student Ministries was renamed “FUSION”.  The idea here was to expand on “The Fuse” by focusing on drawing students of a variety of talents, family’s of origin, genders, grades, etc. into a single group that seeks to follow Jesus Christ in our lives.

     Fusion has a variety of special events and groups that meet throughout the year.  In general, the students are invited to join us on Sunday Nights for a time of prayer, an engaging small group conversation, and a variety of fun games.  Throughout the school year, Fusion Night has two different start times: Jr. High students that are a part of the confirmation program, “The Deeper Journey”, come at 4:30pm, with the rest of the Jr. High Students coming at 5:30pm for the JH Small Group time.   The Sr. High students join the rest of the group at 6:00pm.  We then have dinner or a big snack and play games until 7:30pm when the Jr. High students can head home.  Then from 7:30pm-8:15pm is the SH Small Group time.

     To summarize; TDJ students from 4:30-5:30pm, Jr. High from 5:30-7:30pm and Sr. High from 6:00-8:15pm.

    If you have any questions regarding Fusion Student Ministries or would like to donate funds to help our students experience christian camps, mission trips, and conferences, please contact Pastor Chuck.
